Rod & Reel Compatibility

Works with most straight-handle rods equipped with:

• Open and closed face spinning reels

• Baitcasting reels — 60 degree angle rests reel securely on top of tube

• Spincast reels

• Centerpin reels

• Underspin reels

• Inline ice fishing reels

Some fly fishing rods are compatible — minimum 3 inches of hand grip required behind the reel seat.

Does NOT fit:

• Surf rods — grip diameter too wide for this model
• Pistol-grip rod handles
• Rods with grip diameters larger than 1 3/8" (3.493 cm)
• Trolling reels

Belt & Clip Options

The Ambie ships with the Standard Belt Clip — designed for standard 1.5" belts, strong and secure for everyday fishing.

• Fits standard 1.5" belts using the pre-assembled poly belt clips

• Optional Metal clips enable beltless carry on shorts, sweatpants, leggings, or swim trunks — available as an upgrade at checkout

• Metal clips are precisely spaced for MOLLE belt compatibility

• The Original Universal Belt Clip is available separately and works best with MOLLE belts

Important: The Ambie supports 1.5" belts only. It does not fit 2" belts. Anglers using 2" wading or tactical belts should use the JettyHawk instead.
