Fishing Rod Compatibility: 

Not compatible — will not work with either model:
Pistol grip rods cannot be holstered. Trolling reels are not supported by either model.
Fly fishing — conditional compatibility:
Some fly rods will work, but only if there is at least 3 inches of hand grip behind the reel seat. Rods without sufficient grip behind the reel will not seat correctly.
